Mary and Joseph lived in Nazareth and they were to be married. The angel Gabriel visited Mary and informed her that she would soon be pregnant and the son of God would be born to her. On hearing about this Joseph was a little hurt and confused. However angel Gabriel visited him and explained that Mary would give birth to a son Jesus who was the son of God, and he would save the world.

It so happened that because of an order by the Roman Emperor Joseph along with Mary traveled to Bethlehem. Mary was then pregnant and tired from traveling, when they reached Bethlehem. It so happened that they could not find a place to stay the night in the town. All the inns were full. The keeper of one of the Inns however took pity on them and allowed them to stay in a stable.

Mary and Joseph, thankful for the shelter, settled down on the hay in the midst of animals. Soon Mary gave birth to a baby boy, and he was placed in a manger that was present in the farm. An angel appeared before shepherds who were grazing their flock and gave them the good news of the birth of Jesus. A brilliant star shone over the stable where Jesus was born.

Three wise men known as Magi, saw the shining star and followed it to reach the place where the infant Jesus lay. They traveled from the Far East in search of the new King, and found him in a stable, sleeping on a manger in Bethlehem. They knelt before Jesus and worshipped him and offered him the gifts of Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh.
