With South India being one of its most important markets, Sri Lanka Tourism is bringing its charm closer through a three-city roadshow this October 2025 in Madurai, Coimbatore, and Chennai. This initiative aims to strengthen tourism ties, highlight diverse attractions, and showcase Sri Lanka as a year-round destination for leisure, adventure, culture, and MICE tourism.
To bring these treasures closer to Indian travelers, Sri Lanka Tourism is organizing a three-city roadshow in South India this October 2025, with events scheduled in Madurai, Coimbatore, and Chennai.

Sri Lanka Roadshow In Oct 2025 In South India
The roadshow, taking place on October 6th, 8th, and 10th, is designed to strengthen tourism ties with South India, a key source market for the island. Hosted by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) and the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB), the initiative will spotlight Sri Lanka as a year-round destination for leisure holidays, cultural exploration, adventure tourism, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions).
Delegation and Representation
The campaign is led under the guidance of Hon. Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism, along with Hon. Prof. Ruwan Ranasinghe, Deputy Minister of Tourism. They will be joined by senior officials from SLTPB and SLCB, as well as more than 40 prominent representatives from Sri Lanka’s tourism sector—including luxury hotels, boutique resorts, tour operators, and destination management companies.
Connecting with the Indian Travel Trade
Each roadshow city is expected to host more than 200 Indian travel agents, tour operators, and media representatives. The program will feature B2B meetings designed to build long-term partnerships, complemented by cultural showcases such as performances by traditional Sri Lankan dancers, offering attendees a true taste of the island’s vibrant heritage.

This initiative reaffirms Sri Lanka’s dedication to positioning itself as a preferred destination for Indian travelers. By highlighting its diverse attractions—natural landscapes, spiritual and cultural richness, adventure activities, and hospitality of global standards—the country hopes to increase tourist inflows while nurturing enduring collaborations with South India’s travel community.
