Review of Tandav Web Series – Much Ado About Nothing
Tandav started making waves for all the wrong reasons. There were a few scenes that stirred controversy as they hurt religious sentiments. One of the scenes of the series has a character making what is viewed as a casteist remark. But the makers of the series have apologized and have assured that the objectionable scenes would be removed. Coming to the actual content of Tandav, read on to know more about the plot of Tandav, the cast of Tandav, and our review of the Tandav Web Series.
The Plot – Review of Tandav Web Series
Tandav Web Series is an out and out political drama series. It is set in Delhi, the seat of power of the country. The plot is kicked off with the death of a Prime Minister. This triggers the onset of a no holds barred power tussle. In the fray for power are the son of the dead Prime Minister, Samar Pratap Singh played by Saif Ali Khan, the dead Prime Minister’s lady love Anuradha Kishore played by Dimple Kapadia. Then there is a student leader named Shiva Shekhar played by Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub who is deep in college politics.
The fight for power lets loose a trail of deceit and murder, as the protagonists move their pawns like a game of chess. If Samar Pratap Singh has Gurpal Chauhan as his henchman, Anuradha Kishore has Maithili Sharan to do her dirty work. Sunil Grover as the sinister and silent Gurpal Chauhan springs a surprise. Apart from these, there are a host of other characters dropping in and out of the frame and complicating the plot. The canvas somehow seems small to accommodate all the characters, and by the time, things seem to fall in place, the series draws to a close, leaving many a question unanswered, and obviously paving the way for a season 2.

Our Thoughts About Tandav
“Much ado about nothing apart”, is what one feels after watching the 9 episodes of Tandav. The plot meanders through lazily introducing characters and sub-plots frequently and complicating the narrative. Probably the makers thought from a broader perspective of maybe 20 episodes to tell the full story. Hence the 9 episodes meander around without a definite purpose. Maybe the series may pick up the tempo with season 2!

I loved the series. I binged the entire night. All the characters are lovable, especially Saif Ali Khan’s. He looks far better as a cold-blooded villain. Am really looking forward to Season 2.
The plot if this series looks very interesting and the cast is so good!! I would definitely like to give this a watch after reading your review.
Since the day Tandav released, I was thinking of watching the series. Somehow can’t get the time. The story line is now tempting me to watch.
Very realistic and quite a gripping story – at least the 1st half is well worth your time, unless your time is super important like a doctor or something. Apt representation of reality.
Thank you for an honest review of tbe 9 episode series. Even I found it to be quite incomplete and somewhere the characters were not defined properly too.
Ahhh not a great fan of such web series. But my friends are definitely. Will suggest them to watch this for weekend celebration.
This is quite an honest review of the series. I’ve not yet made up my mind to watch the series but would love to see it with the 2nd season for the big cast ЁЯЩВ
