The Plot of Criminal Justice
Criminal Justice is based on a British television drama series produced by BBC with the same name that was aired first in 2008.
A young man who is a football enthusiast and drives a cab owned by his family and is also studying for his MBA, finds himself drawn into a vortex one night. It all starts with him picking up a passenger, one night, and that leads to a maze of sex, drugs, and finally murder. The man lands up in jail charged with murder.
Is the man innocent? Is there a cold-blooded killer lurking beneath the mask of innocence on his face? The cards are stacked against him. It is obviously a battle that seems lost even before it has begun.
Will the hotshot lawyer employed by the Cab company succeed in arguing his case in court? Even as the judicial system takes over and time keeps ticking, the young man settles down amidst the notorious activities in jail that include running a drug racket and slowly, but surely is on his way to becoming a hardened criminal.
The plot takes you through some interesting courtroom sessions which are realistic and add credibility to the narrative. There is no melodrama that is usually found in courtroom scenes, rather it is plain talk inside the small dusty chambers of the court.
The different layers of the plot mesh seamlessly with each other, the story of a shocked family that is struggling to meet ends, a small-time lawyer suddenly confronted with a case of an unbelievable magnitude, and of curse the young man fighting for survival in the midst of dangerous criminals in jail.
Criminal Justice races to its climax across 9 episodes to the 10th and final episode. However, the final episode somehow feels like a letdown. It seems as if the makers were in a hurry to complete the series and hence this episode has a rushed feel to it.

This sounds like a great watch. I’ve watched Pataallok and Mirzapur. They’re so good. Criminal justice might be more interesting as per your review. A must watch then.
The story and thrill was good but after that story became slow. They tried to cover all the angle of judicial system that was good, overall experience was good.
